Virual Piano

Description:

Virtual Piano is a program that makes you play piano on your computer's keyboard.

If you for example press "Q" on your keyboard it will sound a C Note

and if you press "2" it will sound like a C# Note and "W" = D Note, "E" = E Note.

and it goes like this all the way up to "P" and the other way to "Z"

You can also record and save your own notes and play them when you want.

Virtual Piano is built on the Kernel32.dll Beep code so the sound will sound inside you computer

and if you got a laptop it will sound from the speakers. and a downside with the Beep code

is that its just Monothonic(Single Tone), so it only allows 1 note at the same time to play.

I have plans to upgrade it all to DirectX 9 so it will sound much better and be Polyphonic (Multiple Tones).

but it's much work so maybe someday in the future

More Information:

If you dont have Directx 9 installed, just download these files Download Link
and extract them to the same directory as Virtual Piano.

Requirements:

- Net Framework 2.0
- DirectX 9

V 1.6.1 [21.03.08]

+ Added Settings & Tools, there you can Double All Notes, and replace notes

- Found out why the keyboard sometimes doesn't work.

you just have to click on play to make it work after you clicked stop.

(shall try to fix it in the next version)

V 1.6.0 [20.12.07]

+ Added drums (Kick, Clap, HiHat Open, HiHat Closed)

^ Virtual Piano Now needs DirectX 9 because the drums use DirectX 9.

- Sometimes the keyboard does not work. it should be fixed in the next version

V 1.6.0 - V 1.0.0

I dont remember,

but what i remember is that Virtual Piano was one of the first applications i made.

V 1.0.0 was like a Piano with 1 Octave without Keyboard support,

so you would need to press the notes

with the mouse to make sound. but in the past 6 - 9 months Virtual Piano has seen big changes,

and there is still more to come.
